Phillip "Grinner" Jones, (フィリップ 「グリナー 」ジョーンズ Firippu 'Gurinā' Jōnzu?) also just known as "Grinner", (グリナー 'Gurinā'?) is a playable character from Ollie King. He is a Regular/All-Rounder type character with a great sense of speed and power. Grinner can be considered to be the game's mascot, as he is prominently featured on promotional material for the game.

Appearance[]
Grinner is a fairly tall skater whose outfit consists of green-yellow long-sleeve undershirt with a sleeveless gray one on top which features a twin horizontal striped red cross in the middle coming to mean キ or ki in Japanese katakana. He sports brown pants that is supported by a yellow belt. He wears gray skate shoes. He wears a cap that features a small little mascot in the front and carries a brown backpack around.
Grinner's board design on his artwork features his nickname with brown, yellow, gray, and green squares throughout. The cross seen on his shirt is also present. In game, the textures for the board is less detailed as it simply features his name in red with the cross next to the "G", the checkboard design is also lesser on the on the model too.
Personality and playstyle[]
Grinner is described as a stylish character, implying he's a daring and independent character who does things his own way with flair. He sports a regular stance in Ollie King. He is classified as an "All-Rounder Type" or "Regular Type" character that has a good sense of balance, stable enough speed and cornering, but his rail grind balance is not all up there.

- Phillip is the only character in Ollie King to have a "nickname".
- In the game itself, Phillip is referred to as "The Grinner" by the announcer, but all text appearances of his name omits "the".
- Grinner is featured on the album art for the soundtrack release of Ollie King.
- In the concept art for Phillip, he is shown to have what seems to be slightly messier hair and wears a orange jacket with yellow and white stripes throughout that also featured a small crown logo on the left side.
- Phillip is the same age as Piranha/Sugar from Jet Set Radio, with both characters being 21 years of age.
