Kogane (黄金?) is a district in the Jet Set Radio series. The district is usually controlled by Poison Jam. In the game's stories, the Kogane district is more-or-less the middle ground location, but does have at least one important story event occur in it.

The Kogane district in the Jet Set Radio series so far, has been set during the time of sunset. The district usually comes across as a rundown area with a cluster of homes connected and stacked on top of each other, with construction being shown throughout. Unlike Shibuya and Benten, the district is more calm as residents are more spread out in the area, but there might be one location supporting a gathering of people. Animals such as stray cats and crows have heavy presence in the location too. Entertainment seems to be provided by the citizens themselves as there are no places like a park, present in the district.

Jet Set Radio[]

See Kogane-cho for more specific details.

In Jet Set Radio, Kogane is represented via the Kogane-cho district in Tokyo-to. It is the home turf of Poison Jam. Throughout the story, the GG's take over Kogane-cho and eventually have to reclaim it again after the Golden Rhinos make their way through it.

Jet Set Radio Future[]

In Jet Set Radio Future, the Kogane district is represented via five locations: Rokkaku-dai Heights, the Tokyo Underground Sewage Facility, the Bottom Point of the Sewage Facility, Kibogaoka Hill, and the Fortified Residential Zone. During the events of the game, the GG's come across characters in the district such as Rhyth, Garam, Boogie, and Cube. Cube served as the leader of Poison Jam, and their hideout is located in the sewers, more specifically at the bottom point of the facility.

Eventually just like every other area in Tokyo, the Kogane district is overran by the Noise Tanks and later on the Golden Rhinos, both are put to a stop by the GG's. Additionally, with the help of Clutch, the GG's find Yoyo at the Fortified Residential Zone and save him.

In the multiplayer mode of the game, Kogane is represented by two additional areas: Raden Park and the Tokyo Underground Sewage Facility Regulatory District.

Other appearances[]

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing[]

In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, the Kogane district is represented by Rokkaku Hill. The location is not based on an area from Jet Set Radio Future like Shibuya Downtown and Highway Zero, but uses elements from the aforementioned tracks districts instead.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed[]

In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the Graffiti City racetrack has construction areas reminiscent from the Rokkaku Hill course.
