Gouji's Tower (ゴウジタワー Gouji Tawā?) is an area in Jet Set Radio Future. It is one of the many areas owned by Gouji Rokkaku and is only accessible during the last story chapter of the game. It holds home to the final boss, Gouji's transformation, A.KU.MU. The tower itself was worked on during the background of the game's events, ultimately cultivating in Gouji trying to overtake Tokyo with the Rokkaku Expo. The tower is a part of the Shibuya District, only due to the fact that it is located in Shibuya Terminal.

Jet Set Radio Future Perfect Guidebook[]

  • JP: ロッカクゴウジがついにその野望をムキだしにしてトーキョーに宜戦布告!ヤツの野望をウチ砕いてヘイワを取り戻せ![1]
  • EN: Rokkaku Gouji has finally revealed his ambitions and declared war on Tokyo! Crush his plans and bring back peace![note 1]

Overview[]

The inside of Gouji's tower is a dimly-lit area with a green hue. Throughout the tower there is a bunch of oddly placed telephone poles, spiraling staircases, floating billboards and posters, and spiraling loops. There are also shadow officers that will be encountered in the tower. These officers cannot be defeated and can be only be ran away from. Like with the Site of Tokyo Line, this area can only be visited once during the story and cannot be returned to.

Story[]

After taking down the two Zero Beats at Shibuya Terminal, Gouji captures the current member of the GG's and brings them inside of his tower. In the tower, Gouji transforms into A.KU.MU. A.KU.MU is ultimately defeated which results him turning back into Gouji, and the tower being destroyed, freeing the people of Tokyo.

Mission[]

Only one mission takes place in Gouji's Tower, which is the Future Go Go mission.

Trivia[]

  • An incomplete version of the tower can be seen in the background at the Future Site of the Rokkaku Expo Stadium.
  • Similar to the Rokkaku Headquarters/Final Groove mission in Jet Set Radio, when trying to check the map for the location it will just say "?????".
  • Gouji called the tower "Roboge Hemo Bili Ho Pan" in the Japanese version of the game. In the English versions, the tower goes unnamed, for Gouji believes its name is "irrelevant", and as a result never says it.
  • For some odd reason, the textures of Gouji's Tower are also located in the "Player" folder of Jet Set Radio Future's files. While the folder that contains the tower's textures includes Gouji's as well, Gouji himself already has his own folder in the "Player" section, which only makes the appearance of the tower in the "Player" folder even more confusing.
