Objectives[]

There are three objectives for Death Ball Showa 99:

Walkthrough[]

When starting the Death Ball Showa 99 mission, the player finds themselves in front of two characters, a new one called Jazz and the Noise Tanks. To progress forward, the player must talk to Jazz first who is currently freaking out over being mistaken as a member of the GG's and tells the player to tell the Noise Tank next to them that they are not. When the player does talk to the Noise Tank, the robot gives them a rundown on what is currently happening and reveals they will be participating in a tournament called "Death Ball", and if they lose they will have to pledge loyalty to not only the Noise Tanks, but to "Lord Yoyo" as well. Then the player must talk to Jazz again to start up the practice mode for Death Ball, once practice is completed they can compete in the first match, which is against the Doom Riders.

Once the Doom Riders are defeated, they are forced to work for the Noise Tanks, and the second match against the Immortals begins. The best course of the action against the Immortals round is to pick a stamina heavy character like Combo or Garam and run into the mummy gang multiple times to knock them out and finish the round faster than intended. This way the final round can start sooner. However, both matches have an exploit that can cause them to end sooner than expected. If the player picks up the ball first and does not drop or throw it in the process, the match will end sooner than expected when reaching the goal.

In the third round against the Love Shockers, the match will be interrupted by the Rokkaku Police and Hayashi, who is now back with a revamped Terror Drone. The Terror Drone supports new attacks such as shockwaves that the player must jump over to avoid getting hit. To take down the combat vehicle, they must tag the top and bottom center of the machine. Once ridding of the Terror Drone for the second time, the Rokkaku Police are decommissioned by the Rokkaku Group.

Music[]

Similar to that of the Mutants of the Sewage Facility and the Poison Spider Queen missions, a special mix for the Tokyo Rokkaku Expo Stadium was made for chapter 5. Additionally, each round has one song played during it.
