Samples[]

  • In "Bokfresh", the "hey!" sample that is used was also featured in "Everybody Jump Around", another song by Richard Jacques. It comes from volume 3 of Datafiles by Zero-G and appears in sample reel "Track 49", as the 6th sample in the reel.
  • The reggae voice samples heard throughout the song come from "Ragga in A" and "Ragga in B" by Best Service from their Hallelujah sample pack. The same one were the main vocals of "Everybody Jump Around" derives from.
  • The "don't stop now!" sample stems from "Sparky's Magic Piano Part 3" by Henry Blair from the Sparky Magic Piano audio stories.
  • The "turn the flame higher!" sample comes from "Critical Beatdown" by the Ultramagnetic MCs.

Trivia[]

  • When asked about the samples used in "Bokfresh", Richard Jacques dismissed the WhoSampled page for it, claiming that it was "factually incorrect".[1]
  • On the soundtrack release for JSRF, "Bokfresh" was accidentally given credits to Guitar Vader instead of Richard Jacques.
    • This also happened on the bootleg release, but Hideki Naganuma would receive the credits for the song instead.
